This Privacy Policy explains how we (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the PostPilot Service (web version and desktop version). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.
- Account / registration information (if any): e.g., email address, name, if you choose to provide.
- Payment information: if you purchase a License, we collect billing / payment transaction data (via our payment provider).
- Support requests / correspondence: if you contact us for assistance.
- For the web version: browser localStorage may hold your data (workspace, settings, history) which is stored locally; we do not collect or access localStorage content unless you expressly share it.
- For the desktop version: your Workspace Data is stored on your local file system; we do not transmit or collect your workspace data by default (unless you choose to send diagnostics or error reports).
- Device fingerprint (desktop version): For license verification and activation, we collect a cryptographic hash (SHA256) of your device's hardware information, including: CPU brand and frequency, disk identifier, system/host name, and operating system version. This fingerprint is used solely to verify your license and prevent unauthorized use.

We use your information for:
- Providing, operating and maintaining the Service.
- Verifying your License (desktop version), including using device fingerprints to validate license activation, manage trial periods, and prevent unauthorized use across multiple devices.
- Managing payments, billing and license renewals.
- Communicating with you (e.g., updates, support).
- Analysing usage to improve functionality, performance and user experience (with anonymised data).
- Ensuring security, preventing fraud, abuse or misuse of the Service.

- Payment and licensing verification providers (for processing payments and verifying licenses).
- Third-party service providers (hosting, analytics, support) under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- If compelled by law or government request, we may disclose your information where required by applicable law or to protect rights, property or safety.
Your Workspace Data (desktop) and localStorage Data (web) are stored on your device under your control. We do not promise unlimited backup, restoration, or recovery of such data. You are responsible for maintaining backups, securing your device and keeping software up to date.
For any data we do collect (e.g., user account, payment data, telemetry), we maintain industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
We retain your personal information (e.g., account, payment data) only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, or as required by law.
